The song comes off of an album released in 2007, but this singer, who is 38, has been recording albums since the mid-90s. His music gets put into the rock and roll genre (摇滚，yao2gun3), but as he has said, his music is as ever changing as he himself is. In 2010, the singer pulled at what first appeared to be an interesting stunt by playing in a passageway leading to a subway station in Beijing. Because of his modest appearance, fans at first did not realize that he was a celebrity. However, it did not take long before he was discovered and the incident made the news. In the end, his record company released a statement saying that the seemingly ad hoc public gig was actually an advertisement that was filmed with hidden cameras.
